MUSHROOM TURNOVERS

8 oz. cream cheese
½ cup butter
1 ½ cups flour

FILLING

3 tablespoon butter
½ lbs. Fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
¼ teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
2 tablespoons flour
¼ cup Milnot light cream

Combine cream cheese, ½ cup butter and 1 ½ cups flour.  Blend well and chill for 1 hour.

Melt 3 tablespoons butter.  Add mushrooms and onions; cook, stirring for a few minutes.  Add seasonings, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons flour.  Mix well.  Stir in the cream and cook very gently until thickened (just a few minutes) Set aside.

Remove dough from refrigerator and roll out to 1/8” thickness.  Cut into 2 ½ “ rounds.  Place 1 teaspoon of filling in center of each circle.  Fold dough in half and pinch ends.  Prick with fork.  Freeze at this point, if desired.

Bake in a 450 degrees for 15 minutes or place under broiler.
