Puppy Chow
 
1 stick of oleo
1-cup peanut butter
1 12oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 box Crispix

In large pan melt butter, chips and peanut butter.  Add cereal and stir to coat well.  Put powder sugar in paper bag or large container with tight lid and shake cereal and sugar until well coated.  Store in a tightly closed container.
 

Most Wonderful Toffee


1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 T. water
½ C. chopped almonds
1 12oz pkg. chocolate chips

Cook together butter, sugar and water until mixture turns caramel or reaches 300 degrees on candy thermometer.  Remove from heat and stir in ½ of the nuts.  Pour into a buttered 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.  Pour on ½ pkg. of chocolate chips and let stand a few minutes until chips melt.   Spread even and cover with wax paper.  Cool. Turn out on wax paper and spread remainder chocolate chips on other side.  Cool and break in pieces.  Cool in refrigerator.
 

Peanut Butter Balls


1 cup chunky or creamy peanut butter
1 cup fine-crushed graham crackers
1 box powdered sugar
4 squares semisweet chocolate
2 tbsp. Paraffin wax

Mix peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar with hands and form into balls.  Chill an hour or so.  Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and paraffin wax over hot water.  Dip balls into chocolate-paraffin mixture and place on wax paper to cool.
 

Party Cheese Ball


2 8oz. Cream Cheese
2 C. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 T. chopped pimento
1 T. chopped green pepper
1 T. chopped onion
2 T. Worcestershire
1 tsp. Lemon juice
Dash Cayenne pepper
Dash Salt
Chopped Pecans
Combine cheeses and seasonings; shape into ball and roll in chopped pecans.  Chill.
